The Santa Fe Trail is a 4.3 mile path that connects White Rock Lake to three major historic neighborhoods: Deep Ellum, Fair Park and Downtown Dallas. It meanders through cultural and natural landmarks.

You can enjoy the fall weather by White Rock Lake, then take the trail to view artwork at the African American Museum and hop back on the trail for lunch at one of the many restaurant options in Deep Ellum.

The trail is maintained by The Friends of Santa Fe Trail. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for capital improvements, programs and operations related to the Santa Fe Trail, as well as generally supporting and enhancing the trail. The group is committed to preserving the culture of the communities it connects and providing a safe, inviting experience for all users.

Where to park? You can park at the White Rock Lake Waterfall parking lot located at 2121 Winsted Dr, Dallas, TX 75214.
