It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of The Loop Dallas’ Board President, Philip Henderson.

Philip was a visionary leader for Dallas and a driving force for The Loop Dallas. As a founding member of our organization, we worked together for eight years to build a city-wide project that will change the way we think about and move around Dallas, just as he did twenty years ago with the Katy Trail.

Philip’s touch will be seen across The Loop Dallas as he looked to set an elevated standard for public projects, both in design and sustainability.

One of the features Philip designed that will stand out on all of our projects can be seen on the soon-to-be-open first phase of the Trinity Forest Spine Trail. Philip added a stainless steel railing on the bridges, which will be carried across all projects designed by The Loop Dallas. A simple, yet elegant, touch left by Philip.
