I am writing to thank you for supporting The Loop Dallas! Back in 2014, we had an idea that by adding 11 miles of new trails, we could create a 50-mile active transportation system in the urban core of Dallas. Nine years and $95 Million later, our dream of Connecting Dallas to Dallas is becoming a reality. This year we celebrated the opening of our firs trail because of your belief in us! We look forward to celebrating with you more in the year to come.
The Trinity Forest Spine Trail Unveiled
In a momentous stride, the first phase of the Trinity Forest Spine Trail is open! This marks a pivotal step forward in our mission to connect two iconic natural spaces: White Rock Lake and the Great Trinity Forest. It will serve portions of Dallas historically left out of major pedestrian and infrastructure projects.
Hi Line Connector Construction Milestone
Construction on the Hi Line Connector is reaching substantial completion, setting the stage for a grand opening in early 2024. This accomplishment adds the most vital link to enhancing connectivity through Dallas’ urban core, bringing the iconic placemaking of The Katy Trail through Victory Park to the burgeoning Design District.
Corporate and Nonprofit Organization of the Year
The Loop Dallas was honored as “Corporate and Nonprofit Organization of the Year (midsize)” by D CEO and was featured on the cover and in an eight-page spread. The Loop Dallas will be a $100 Million legacy asset and amenity that Dallas’ residents and visitors can enjoy for generations to come.
Momentum is Building
2024 will be another landmark year. Within six months, nine out of the 11 miles needed to complete the loop will be open or under construction! Thanks to you, every day brings us closer to a 50-mile, city-wide urban trail around the heart of Dallas, uniting communities with a shared, public greenspace.
We look forward to an outstanding 2024, connecting more of Dallas to Dallas, and we wish you a prosperous and healthy new year.
Warm regards,
Jeffrey S. Ellerman
Chairman, The Loop Dallas
