Happy New Year! After steady effort laying the groundwork, we are excited to share with you the forward momentum we eagerly anticipate in 2021. This is the year The LOOP paves the way to a more united Dallas as we break ground on three projects to deliver greater citywide connectivity.
We’ve all experienced or read about the critical missing links while out enjoying our parks and trails, and The Dallas Morning News recently called out the lack of connective tissue in our city as a major shortcoming. Sharon Grigsby reinforced that charge in a column about East Dallas, saying:
“More of us might embrace Samuell Grand-Tenison as the best parks network in East Dallas if it wasn’t next to impossible for users to find and make our way around its green spaces – and if its closest neighbors didn’t risk becoming roadkill each time we cross the dragstrips that form its perimeter.“
